R+D in Drug Dosage Forms and Drug Delivery Systems

Two Members of I+D Farma Win the Demo Day at Santander X Explorer Santiago Space

PhD student María Carracedo Pérez and Dr. Clara López Iglesias, members of I+D Farma, have taken part in the Santander X Explorer program in recent months. The program was organized by the USC’s Area of Valorization, Transfer and Entrepreneurship (AVTE) in collaboration with Banco Santander. This initiative provides international-level training in entrepreneurship and innovation through a combination of online and in-person sessions.

The program concluded with the Demo Day on June 5 at the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences, where all participants presented a pitch of their projects and answered questions from the jury.

María and Clara’s innovation project, which offers an advanced technological solution using supercritical CO₂ for the sterilization and disinfection of medical and food products, was unanimously awarded first prize by the jury. The project is also part of USC’s technology transfer accelerator and is currently in the incubation phase at the Business Factory Food
