The project “Programmable Autologous Skin for Functional Wound Regeneration,” led by Luis A. Díaz Gómez and involving Patricia Díaz Rodríguez, Bárbara Blanco Fernández, Ángel Concheiro, and Carmen Álvarez-Lorenzo, members of the I+D Farma Group, has been selected in the 23rd Call for Proposals for Medical Research Grants from the Fundación Mutua Madrileña.

The project will research the development of bioprinted skin models using the patient’s own cells, with the aim of advancing new strategies for the regeneration of complex wounds. The proposal will combine bioprinting technologies with biomaterials to explore solutions that can contribute, in the long term, to improving the treatment of extensive skin lesions.
